Requests for Evidence (RFE)Dimo Michailov2018-08-19T22:08:30-04:00
A request for evidence (RFE) issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) is often an indication with a deficiency (sometimes fatal) with a pending case. RFEs can vary in seriousness and complexity from a simple one-page request for a missing birth certificate to a complex 10+ page request for specialty occupation evidence, ability to pay, unlawful presence, maintaining status and others. RFEs often have a specific response deadline which indicates the latest date by which USCIS must receive the requested information. Failure to respond by this date is likely to result in the denial of the underlying case.
